Details: The brilliant red blossoms of the plum tree have been a richly symbolic subject of Chinese art and poetry for over a thousand years. Master artisans working in this tradition have painted and gilded these screens by hand, and no two are exactly alike. Each comes mounted on four panels, bordered with silk brocade, and set in a lacquered wooden frame.
